Commencement Instructions

Hello!

Congratulations! The hard work and effort you've put into your college education is about to pay off. IU Southeast has scheduled Commencement 2010 for May 10 at 4 p.m., and if you're a 2010 graduate, this is your invitation to participate.

This year's Commencement ceremony will take place at the IU Southeast amphitheater at 4 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2010. All students who have completed degree requirements by December 2009 and those who expect to complete degree requirements by August 2010 are invited and encouraged to participate in the ceremony. The outdoor Commencement ceremony is open to all parents, family, and friends of graduates, and no tickets are necessary. The IU Southeast amphitheater provides a backdrop to one of the most beautiful commencements in the state – weather permitting.

Apply for Graduation before March 1

If you have not already done so, you must file an “application for graduation” with your school office. Late applications or a failure to file will result in your name not appearing in the official 2010 Commencement Program. To ensure your name appears in the program, you must apply for graduation before March 1, 2010.

Rain Site

In case of inclement weather, the Commencement ceremony will be moved indoors to the IU Southeast Activities Building. If Commencement is held in the Activities Building, only those with rain site tickets will be given admission to the ceremony.
