In addition to completing an application for admission to Indiana University Southeast, students wishing to be admitted to the Music Department as a music major must submit the audition application below. After submitting this application you may schedule your audition.

AN AUDITION IS REQUIRED OF ALL STUDENTS WISHING TO BE ADMITTED TO THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT.
Students cannot earn a music degree without performing an audition.

AUDITION INFORMATION

You are strongly encouraged to provide your own accompanist for your audition hearing. However, you may request an IU Southeast staff accompanist by checking the appropriate box below. If you are requesting an IU Southeast accompanist, copies of your music must be submitted to the Music Department at least three weeks prior to your audition. Audition dates are posted on the Music Department web site at www.ius.edu/music. Depending upon the availability of the accompanist, you may or may not have an opportunity to rehearse with the accompanist prior to the audition.
Students requesting an IU Southeast staff accompanist will be required to pay a $10 fee, paid directly to the accompanist at the time of the audition.

CREDENTIALS

In addition to this application, students should provide a copy of their most recent transcript and at least one letter of recommendation from a current or former music teacher. Students who have already submitted a transcript to the IU Southeast Admissions Office can request a copy of that transcript be sent to the Music Department (contact the Admissions Office to do this). Current IU Southeast students my submit a copy of their transcript printed from OneStart.
